"Table cannot be found" error in Crystal Reports 10 but table exists and sends back data...How to eliminate this error message?

A report I've created in CR10 is getting an error message back saying the table cannot be found, and asks if I want to remove he table from the report. However, if I choose not to remove the table (click "no"), the report completes as intended and the data is correct. The table apparently can be found - how do I eliminate the error message?
Error message (using "X" to represent an alpha character):
"The database table "XXX_XXXXXX_XXXXXXXXX_XXXXXXX" cannot be found. Proceed to remove this table from the report?"

I had this happen once for no apparent reason.  Try deleting the table from the report in design mode, then add it back in.

You might also want to check all of your references to be sure that the report is not trying to reference the table even though it may not actually display data from the bad table (e.g. maybe embeded in a custom function, etc.)

Thanks for the observation but these are steps I've taken already. I have a suspicion that there may be an issue with the table name (length, number of underscore characters, etc.) but that's only a guess.

Confirm the suspicion.  Create a view on the table with a short name and no underscores.  Add that to the report and see if the message goes away.

Solutions offered did not solve the problem. "mlmcc" do you recognize this error?
Many times solving a problem is a repetitive process.  Without continued feedback the experts are unable to assist you.

Are you saying that creating a view and using that in the report still causes the error?

The error as stated origiallly (...table not found...) persists. It is a nuisance from a user perspective, since the data pulls in correctly so long as the user clicks "no" and does not remove the table from the report.
Any other clues or similar experiences would be appreciated.
Would I contact the DBA to advise them of the problem? I have contacted the help desk and gotten the response that they do not suppor the application (Crystal); can the problem be phrased in a context of a problem with the source database? I am connecting to a vendor and the data source is OBDC (RDO) (from the pick list in Crystal).

If you don't have DBA privileges on the database and have not been working with the DBA, how did you create/test the view on the table?

This suggestion lead me to the answer. The vendor support gave me the following reply, which is another possible solution:
"The article refers to the error condition occurring only with the driver Crdb_odbc.dll version 9.2.1.586.   We do not have that driver on the farm as we are running Crystal Reports version 10 (crdb_odbc.dll version 10.0.0.733).  We have found that in order to get the best results in pulling Oracle data into a Crystal report, we use the Crystal reports for Oracle driver version 4.20.0012."
THanks!
