post install drivers

can anyone please provide details of a knowledge source for updating device driversin fedora 9.
I've installed and updated the basic packeage on a laptop but would like to install driver package for intel wireless card. i,ve obtained the linux drivers from intel website but i need more reading, or help to get running.

Please post the URL where you got the drivers. Then I (or other experts) can see how they should install.

I know there is a comprehensive breakdown in the readme but I am a real newbie here but I want to get to grips with this.
