it is in MS Access, however the form object - when it is open - contains a property pivottable which is of pivottable object type. As far as MS Access documentation goes - there is zero documentation on the pivottable object.<br />

Yet I dare guess that this pivottable object in MS Access is identical with the MS PivotTable object from &nbsp;MS Web Components (and it is also MS Web Components branded). That's one starting point in finding the solution.<br />

Another starting point is that there is a procedure in MS Access called &quot;RunCommand&quot;. It contains very useful commands such as &quot;acCmdPivotShowAll&quot;, &quot;acCmdPivotCollapse&quot;, &quot;acCmdPivotExpand&quot;, &quot;acCmdPivotTableShowDetail<wbr />s&quot;, &quot;acCmdPivotTableHideDetail<wbr />s&quot;... Nonetheless the documentation is very poor. I would love to know how to use this command in connection with a particular pivot table object (it has no parameters...).<br />

I would gladly tell you, Jeff, what exactly is the parent object, however at the moment I am a bit of struggling with the documentation for MS Web Components - a lot of messy files that can usually be found in C:\My Programs\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Components\...<br />

I am using a pivot table view on a form in MS Access 2003. My pivot shows some data. I would like to add two buttons in the page footer section of my form.<br />
<br />
The first button tests if the details are already displayed in the pivot and if not it will display them, otherwise it will hide them.<br />
<br />
A similar task will be performed by the second button. The only difference is it will test if the pivot nodes are expanded and if not it will expand them, otherwise it will collapse them.<br />
