How to recover mail from a mailbox from a Backup using NT Backup for Exchange 2007?

I am running Exchange 2007 on a 2003 R2 server.  Until I get the lates version of Backup Exec I am using NT backup to backup the Exchange server.  I am looking for detailed instruction on how I would be able to recover a single email if needed.  Being able to extract the backup email account to a PST and then accessing it the PST for fine grain restore would be fine also.

Hi

Thanks for the above. I have set the permissions as above and now can run ExMerge.exe without error. However, I only get the the Administrator mailbox offered as one to act upon.  It may be important to reiterate that I have not created the uses into the system for whom that mailboxes would belong.  Would this be an issue?  Do I need to create these users before doing this restore in order to line up the mailboxes with the users?  Please see my original note for clarification.

Thanks much for your continued support.
