Hamachi vs OpenVPN Solution

Currently using Hamachi to hook up a company file server to different remote offices.

File transfer and directory browsing is quite slow... average connection speed is around 2Mbps.

Curious... would OpenVPN give me better throughput than Hamachi?

Thanks; I'm definitely fine with configuring and taking care of OpenVPN but I wanted to know about the speed differences before delving into it.  Looks like I'll give it a shot. I'll keep this post open a bit for any other useful comments; thanks for your help.

No one I know has actually measured the speed difference, they just say it is "significantly faster".

Why don't you try it and be the first to give real world figures, not seat-of-the-pants guesses, like the rest of those bimbos out there.  You will go down in Google history as the only one with REAL comparatives !!

Software is any set of instructions that directs a computer to perform specific tasks or operations. Computer software consists of programs, libraries and related non-executable data (such as documentation). Computer software is non-tangible, contrasted with computer hardware, which is the physical component of computers. Software written in a machine language is known as "machine code". However, in practice, software is usually written in high-level programming languages than machine language. High-level languages are translated into machine language using a compiler or interpreter or a combination of the two.
