I have a HiSense LCD TV model no. TL1700. When I turn the tv on, the power button turns blue like normal, but a black screen with no sound is what I get. I thought it might be on child lock, because in the book it says that If you get a black screen, then child lock is on and you press lock on the remote to turn it off. When I do that nothing changes. Please
How is your TV getting its signal? From what device for instance. Is that device OK?
the TV is getting a signal from the antenna cable. Do I need a different device just to watch TV? thank you!
Is this an outdoor antenna?
One more question: Can you see anything on the display like the Menus of the TV for instance?
it is the cable from our box from outside. like it is the cable television, i do not believe it is an antenna. its a regular coaxial cable coming from the wall. i cannot see anything on the display at all, it is totally black when you turn it on. every now and then, i catch a glimpse of sound or a welcome screen for the tv shows up, but that is very rare.
