problem on sql server

hi,
someone has recommended me to use triggers for my problem
i have a vb.net application that ocr some small window and extracts numeric data that is stored in a variable once in 500 ms using timer.and then it is entered in sql server. i want to display it on other application of vb.net as soon it it entered in the sql server 2005. that procedure has to be a realtime procedure.i.e when it is entered in the sql server it should be displayed in other application on lan.
plz help....can we beat time of 500ms
