Desktop Background forced through GPO works on XP but not on 2000!

I have been set the tast of branding our machines with the company logo set as the active desktop.
I am applying this change through GPO and it's working fine for Windows XP machines but Windows 2000 machines have a blank desktop.  If I look at the Display Properties/Background the correct background is selected and showing on that tab but its just not showing on the Desktop what it says it is!

I'm confused!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you!

Hi,
If I remember right you can go for a Desktop Wallpaper in Windows 2000 only if you also enable Active Desktop by going to this path in GPO
User Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> Active Desktop
[ Enable Active Desktop | Active Desktop Wallpaper ]
You need to check that too
Thanks
Nitin

Seems like a display setting issue on 2000 PC.

Thank you for your help
