Okay, I don't really understand what you're asking for...<br />

The concept of a heightmap is pretty straight forward.<br />
<br />
Basically, it's an XY array (could be a bitmap, whatever) where the values in each of the cells indicates the &quot;height&quot; (z-value) of the corresponding vertex.<br />
<br />

<br />
You can use Performer to read OpenFlight files... &nbsp;From there it should be trivial to write a heightmap in whatever format you desire.<br />

Well, you understood exactly what we need, but providing Performer as an answer is quite hactic.<br />
It's like buying a Roll's Roys to drive over to the neighbor.

I've run an ISector (VegaPrime intersection class) all over the terrain and got a height map.<br />

I'm not certain why it's being closed without points assigned.<br />

It appears he solved the problem himself by using a class library from VegaPrime... but he didn't participate in the process at all.<br />
<br />
He says this is the &quot;only solution&quot;, and if it is, then it would be the first time in my life I've ever seen a cat with only one way to skin it.<br />

He gave no indication anywhere, even when asked directly, about what format he needed, if he knew what a height map was, or that he was using or had access to Vega Prime.<br />
<br />
When I suggested he read the file directly using the specifications for the file format, I received no reply, and thus, no way to help.<br />

the question was simple how to convert from FLT into heightmap, becasue openflight is not a simle matrix, one can convert easily into, you gave me nothing.
