asked on

Export files and folders out of exchange public folders

We have a Exchange 2003 sever and in the past the Public Folders have been used for storing Word and Excel files. We have thousands of folders, and several thousand files stored inside the Public Folders. I need a way to migrate the folder and file structure to a local folder. I can do it manually but very time consuming.

If a PST works for you, just copy/move the items there and save the PST.

There are also tools that can be used for saving the attachments to a network store:

Im trying to export the files and folder out of outlook \ exchange to my local computer. The documents are saved in the public folders as files (not as message attachments)

The current structure:
Public Folder ¬
                     Clients Name¬
                                           Document1.doc
                                           Workbook1.xls
