Emailing Log Shipping or other SQL 2005 Standard reports to users?

Hi all

Does anyone know if it is possible to email the log shipping report to end users so that they don't have to log on to SSMS to check the status?

An if you can do this does anyone know how?

Thanks

You can use database mail and send the results to them....

setting up db mail:

to execute the report:

execute sp_help_log_shipping_monitor

Ok, but can the report be similar to the HTML Version in SQL Standard Reports?

You mean from reporting services?...It can, if you're good.

If you're using reporting services, then you can just create a report to execute the stored procedure from above and then have your RS alerts send out the email....does that make sense?

Ah I see!

Unfortunately we don't have reporting services enabled - but I might have to try and come up with a custom report.

Also how can you get the results of a query in the email body?

Thanks for your help

Thanks, I have had a go and I get the email. Unfortunately the formatting is really bad and our end users will have no idea what it means!!

I will award you the points, but on a side not you don't know how to make the results more readable?

Thanks
