I have the same problem. the funny thing is, I manage many client servers and have created test accounts on other exchange servers and it works seamlessly. I have tried to match settings to a &quot;T&quot;, no luck. My iPhone 3G will setup the account successfully, but does not download any mail nor will it synch and calendar or contacts. it just says updated, when I refresh at the email page. no error message at all.<br />

Yeah same here. I have 3 other clients I set up seamlessly no problem. Even if they don't have a cert, it works. Someone told me to disable SSL on the &quot;exchange&quot; virtual directory in IIS but it was already disabled for me.

I've got the same problem as described in the original post.<br />

I can setup the user account. &nbsp;The iphone says it is setup to sync with Exchange. &nbsp;Yet it doesn't pull down any mailbox data, the inbox is the only folder available (albeit with no data), and I can't send.<br />

Any thoughts?

Try to re-install Exchange Service Pack 2. make sure the Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services install OK. If it error's out on EMCS; then disable services that might be interfering with exchange (SPAM, Backups, AV, etc) and reinstall ESP2. The Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services should install OK, restart our exchange server and re-create the account on your iphone. no certificate on the phone should be needed, even if you are using a self signed cert.

Hi - Ive got the same issue but this isnt the solution. &nbsp;Gmail works fine, &nbsp;I can even send mail from the &nbsp;iphone or touch (i have both). &nbsp;<br />

It worked for a few days then stopped -the same issue everyone here has, &nbsp;can see folder structure, &nbsp;can even send mail but cant &nbsp;see mail.<br />

We have 4 users on iphone and im the only one seeing issues. &nbsp; Im tootally stumped here -- apple offer zero support on this and neither do MS. &nbsp; <br />

What solved this problem for me was to REMOVE the require secure channel (SSL) on the /exchange subdirectory of your OWA website. &nbsp;<br />

Sync's like a charm now.

Senario 1: <br />
You are using an SSL cert(s) to secure your mail server. <br />
<br />
<br />
Of the many exchange servers I mentioned earlier (plus two more) half had <br />
this problem and half had senerios 2's problem. One of the servers I came <br />
across was using a cert from GeoTrust. That's as good as Verisign <br />
themselves. However the iPhone DOES NOT HAVE THE ROOT CERT for &quot;some&quot; of <br />
geotrusts solutions. I find this unacceptable! This is a horrible and gross <br />
mistake on someone's part at Apple. This is either some sort of military <br />
requirement in order to play ball with our men in green..er, now brown or <br />
someone at Apple doesn't understand a single thing about compatibility. Ok, <br />
enough of my steam letting.... After I installed the root cert for Geotrust, <br />
POOF! It worked. <br />

So, as a quick and simple method of testing you could first try installing <br />
your root cert on your phone and see if that works. For those that require <br />
this solution, my pity goes out to you. After all you PURCHASED a public <br />
cert from a TRUSTED company for a reason. <br />

SSL provider. <br />

Senario 2: <br />
This one will be most common. You've installed Exchange server on a single <br />
machine then you later secured it with an SSL cert then you went one step <br />
further and enabled FBA (Form Based Authentication). That last step killed <br />
you. If you turn off FBA then your iPhone should work. You might have to <br />
first REMOVE the account you created on your phone and create it again. <br />

However, you most likely turned on FBA for a reason so you can follow these <br />
instructions in order to have the best of both worlds: <br />
