Running the lusrmgr.msc allowed me to add the user to the local admin group and he is now able to install while not being added to the domain admins group. &nbsp;Great! &nbsp;Thanks so much! &nbsp;I've googled this for over an hour and couldn't find it. &nbsp;

I tried to make this administrator the local administrator of the box but I either didn't do it correctly or it didn't work. &nbsp;I am trying to allow this guy to install some programs and manage a separate Windows Server 2003 R2 box that is not a domain controller. &nbsp;I can't seem to get the permissions correct to allow it unless I add him to the domain admins group...which I would not like to do. &nbsp;AD is obviously being used.<br />
