Strange symbol replaces pasted text in Word
I copy and paste text into word or into an email which uses Word in Outlook and instead of getting the text I copied I get this strange symbol.

notepad does not recognize web based copying. what happens when you copy directly into word?

Yes indeed I have used notepad as a workaround up to now but would really like to find out if there is a setting that can be altered or some permanent fix for it rather than having to go via notepad. This time it was copying from a web page but it has also happened with copying an image as well, I can't remember other previous times.
