'Show the clock' Checkbox Cleared After Logoff

I have an HP ProLiant DL320s Storage Server running Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2.  This is fully patched.  Whenever I check the 'Show the clock' checkbox, the clock will appear in the taskbar.  Whenever I logoff/reboot, the clock will be gone and the checkbox cleared on the next login.  I looked around and found a few registry edits, but these were all relating to Windows XP.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Do you have any group policy's in place that could be setting this for you?

I am running a Server 2003 native domain and have many other gpo's implemented.  The only gpo applied to the OU this server is a part of is the default domain policy and another gpo to turn off automatic updates.

I have several other servers in this OU that do not have this problem.  All the other servers are running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2.  The problem server is the only server running Windows Storage Server 2003.

Id log out and rename\delete the administrators local profile then log back in and try it again.

I am logging in with a domain admin account, not locally.  I have tried it with a couple different domain admin accounts that had never logged into the server and got the same result.

Not a problem.  I have been extremely busy as well.  I will just live with it the way it is.  Thanks!

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
