ok, I pulled the asp version of HTMLDecode from a google search, but it still did not convert characters like &amp;plusmn; as referenced above. Used attached code snippet. Anyone know how I can convert these characters?<br />

I merely forgot it in my copy and paste of outputted text pasted above. &nbsp;I am using your function to translate a large string full of user submitted data. The &amp;plusmn; still shows up in outputted text even after being run through your function. <br />

Can someone please tell me how I can use VBScript to convert HTML special characters, such as: &nbsp;&amp;plusmn; &nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &nbsp;etc to ANSI formatted characters? I am trying to pull in my data from database that has been saved as HTML characters and import it into a InDesign file that is looking for ANSI or even ASCII formatting. Is there a function someone could provide or point to that would do this?<br />

How to convert HTML special characters into ANSI formatted characters

Active Server Pages (ASP) is Microsoft’s first server-side engine for dynamic web pages.
