Right now I don't believe there is any way to run Mac's OS on a PC, although it is possible to run Windows on a Mac.
You will need to run an emulator like PearPC (free). See this link for step by step guide. http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/01/18/PearPC.html

i had a read through the steps. do you think if i manage to install mac as an emulator will i be able to work with Final Cut Pro6?
I could not say, as I am not familiar with Final Cut. I can say that you will have a working installation of Mac OS X - I can confirm this as working as I have performed on my laptop.

eoinosullivan - Exactly what comment regarding Final Cut Pro earns me the statement that "jss1199 does not know what he/she is talking about in relation to Final Cut Pro"? As my comment plainly says in English, I cannot speak to FCP as I am unfamiliar with it.
Sorry jss1199 - if I offended. But saying something then disclaiming any knowledge of FCP kind-of defeats the purpose of answering this person's enquiry.
I was trying to advise nzrubin that there was absolutely no point in spending time trying to get PearPC working when it was incapable of running FCP.
Apologies again if you felt I was harsh.
