Xincom load balancing router blocks Hotmail, banking sites
Hello Experts,
I just installed a Xincom XC-DPG502 load balancing router balance the load between 2 DSL lines (ATT - 2wire modems). It seems to be working OK, but most of the users are unable to access sites like Hotmail and BankOfAmerica - it won't go through the log-in.
I'm guessing that something is wrong with the 'https' or security in the router...?
Any ideas?
Thank You

Don't think it's blocked...
I can access pretty much all sites from my laptop (wi-fi), but desktop that's hard-wired and other wi-fi clients are not able to access Hotmail and some banking sites... like it's taking very long to load and/or times-out.
Any other ideas?

Hi,
Ok you can check the tracert command to check where in the path is your traffic blocked. Please paste the output of yahoo.com or hotmail.com
C:\>tracert www.yahoo.com
or
C:\>tracert www.hotmail.com

Can the PCs connect to ANY secure site?
Assuming your DSL routers are NOT "bridged", can you connect to the problem secure sites with your PC direct connected to DSL modem?.
From INSIDE the Xincom, can your ping and tracert to the troubled website(s)?
To check the ability for LAN based PCs to access secure sites - verify port 443 is open on ALL firewalls. Then check to see if their browsers are able to connect to a secure (test) website below.

Yes, i've seen the same reports regarding Xincom... Their 'Tech Support' number listed on their web-site isn't even working! wth...
Thank You all.
Thank You all.
Are other SSL based pages also not opening like yahoo or gmail? If not then there must be some rule blocking the SSL traffic. You can check if the port 443 is not blocked
