You can right click on the Icon in Tray (right side) and select the option &quot;Hide on Minimize&quot;<br />
This will remove the TAB when you minimize and keep it in the tray<br />
This is the best you can achieve<br />

I've just started working with outlook 2003 but I'm used to Firefox which I have customized to minimize to the tray on close as well as when I click minimize so I keep closing outlook by mistake. <br />

Does anyone know if it's possible to make outlook 2003 minimize on close?<br />
