Trying to deploy Windows Deployment Services (former RIS), Single Instance Service will not start.
I am trying to install Windows Deploymnet Services on our network running in Mixed mode (both native and legacy).
After adding the WDS services from Add/Remove Windows Components I have created a legacy boot image using Windows Deployment Services Legacy, however in the final stage which is starting the services, the service:
Single Instance Storage Groveler fails with Error 1062: The service has not been started.
The event log reports:
Event ID: 8196
No local partitions have SIS installed.
I've tried uninstalling WDS and re-installing on two different servers in our network, one of the servers is our Active Directory server the other is a domain member server.
