We are going over system requirements for a server based application and the vendor claims that it will not support the app if it is installed on Windows Server 2003 64 bit edition running on a VM. Quote: "The 64 bit versions of Windows cannot run Microsoft .NET in a VMware environment. Do not use 64 bit versions."

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this statement?

We are currently running the app this way and do not have problems, but we do not want to void our support contract. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
