windows update error error 0x8007000b
I have a windows xp home pc. Windows update won't run. The web page gives me error 0x8007000b Any ideas on how to fix this?

Select Start > Run and type services.msc. Search for and disable Firewall

Also, try running sfc /scannow and download and run Dial-a-fix (http://wiki.lunarsoft.net/wiki/Dial-a-fix#Mirrors.2Fdownload_locations.2C_and_articles), click "Fix Windows Update:" and click "GO".
issue can be fixed by enabling "use http 1.1 through proxy connections" in Internet Options.
To enable "use http 1.1 through proxy connections"
1. After Opening Internet Explorer click Tools / Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced Tab.
3. Remove the check from use HTTP 1.1
4. Place a check in Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections.
5. Attempt to access the Windows Update site again.
6. If you are still experiencing difficulties with the update site, try
having both HTTP 1.1 and HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections checked.
