only one way communication between a vista and xp network connected computer

I just converted one of my five computers to Vista Home from Windows XP Pro and when I tried to access the other computers via the network it works fine. and I can read the shared folders.  Except the other computers can't connect to this Vista computer. It shows up as a computer on the network but does not allow access to the shared folder or printer. I have the firewall on all computers off and sharing on on all computers. Am I overlooking something else. ? The message I get on any of the xp computers is that the computer is not accessible. I might not have permission to use the network resource. etc.

check in Network and Sharing Center if Network Discovery, File Sharing, and Printer Sharing is turned on and if it is, go to your shared folder and configure the accounts and permissions that can access the share.

You'll see that if you are running FAT32 you'll have to switch to NTFS.
Also make sure that the Workgroup name is the same for all four remaining XPpro computers, then follow the instructions as appropriate.

I did everything according to the article above and still can't communicate to the vista computer although the vista computer can communicate with the xp computers. Firewalls are all disabled.
