Macbook - DLink DIR 655 Router- Can't Connect

Home network with Dlink DIR-655 router.  No problem accessing wired or wireless with PCs and PC laptops.  When my son brings his Macbook home, he is unable to connect. Message is that Connection failed.  He has no problem connecting with his router at his home.  Any suggestions?  I've turned encryption on and off, I've created new locations on his Macbook. No help

Disabling MAC filtering on the router worked.  He's connected.
Am I now vulnerable?
Not really .. MAC filtering is very good as it ONLY allows specific PCs to connect.
However it is a simple matter of adding MAC address of the MacBook to the DLink and then re-enabling MAC filtering

To get the MAC address of the MacBook Airport card ..  read the following instructions REMEMBER get the AIRPORT MAC address not the Ethernet one!!
