non existent user creating bounce back emails when another user is snet an invite in outlook

I have a user (Betty) that has been removed from the domain and exchange well ver a year ago. when someone sends an invite via thier outlook calendar to user (Martha), Martha receives the invite and the user that invited her receives a bounce back that Betty cannot be reached and that "The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to.  Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

I have checked in Martha's account for alias, send on behalf, delegates, and made sure Betty was not buried in a group or a distribution list.
