HOw should i setup the STP for my switches?

i have a foundry 4000 with an 8 port gigabit fiber card.
i have setup a vlan with 3 of the ports and each gigabit port is used to link to a 5324 gigbait switch.
all three of the upllnked switches have only one vlan for all 24 ports used.

my question is about spanning tree and how to set it up.  the vlan on the core, foundry 4000, that has those 3 gigabit ports has spanning tree enabled, a network gateway address assigned.
shuold i have the uplinked switches have spanning tree enabled as well?
do i designate the uplinked port, port 24 on the three dell switches is used to cable into the foundry 4000?

so all switches in the vlan should have spanning tree enabled?
again there are 4 switches total.  one siwtch has a vlan of 4 ports and three of the ports connect to three other switches.  so all the switches should have spanning tree enabled?

also, the dell switches have the option to designate a port.   do i designate the port that is used to uplink it ito the foundry?
Yes, enable STP on all switches.

Don't know about "designating" a port. That could mean designating a trunk port, using standard STP timers or any of a number of things.
thanks for the help
