Using Windows backup to save a certain amount of backups before overwriting

Hi Guys,

When using Windows backup to set up scheduled jobs it gives you the option to either overwrite the existing backups or to append the backup to exisiting ones.

I want to be able to set it up so that it will back up 5 copies on a drive then begin overwiting the oldest backups once it hits 5.

Is there a way of doing this in windows backup?

Cheers

I think that would give me up to 5 drives at the same time but not always the 5 backups.

so if on friday (day 5) they needed to recover data from earlier that week then that would be ok

but say on monday (Day 1) when it overwrites the drive. If we needed to do a recovery from the previous week we would have allready overwritten that data.

Is there a way of making 5 different scheduled backup jobs and have each job only overwrite the corresponding one from the week before?

Cheers
nah.. there's no simple way to do that.. unless you're using firewire/USB attached drives as your backup device, then rotate the 5 drives perhaps..
