How do I animate a table in Powerpoint 2007 so the elements appear cell-by-cell?

I would like to create one slide that contains an embedded table.  I would then like to have the individual elements of that table appear one-by-one.  When I try to use custom animation, it will only animate the entire table, regardless of which cells I select.

This question is specific to Powerpoint 2007.

Hello dpgold,

Right click the table and select ungroup. Individual elements should now be availbale for grouping.
Group together the elements that you wish to animate together.

Thanks for the link and the solution.  Thanks to Microsoft, I can no longer animate the table.  I have to first convert it to a picture, which means that I can't manipulate it when the data change.  Stinks.
