cant you take the hard drive out set it up as a slave in abother pc, copy all the files off format and put everything back on ?<br />

ithink it is not just hdd password, maybe you use an hd encryption like pgp. if you use it, you must slave your hardisk into another system that have the same encryption sistem, re encrypt and decrypt with your new password.<br />
