Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver for Windows 2000 Professional

Hi All,
I need to make a Windows 2000 Professional intallation on a Dell Vostro 1310 with Sata Raid controller, but it seems I miss the drivers for it.
I've tryed to use the 32-bit Floppy Configuration Utility for Intel® Matrix Storage Manager version 5.7.0.1011 and  5.5.0.1035 that Intel report as w2k compatible, but no one of drivers that we used seems to work. I've found the drivers at the following URL (point 3 and 4):

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=2101&OSFullName=Windows*+2000&lang=ita&strOSs=19&submit=Vai%21

In fact during the installation of Windows 2000, after the first boot we go for F6 to provide the controller's driver, we select one each one on the list but none seems to be good for the controller, and the discovery of the hard disk fail so the installation...
The laptop I'm using is a Vostro 1310 : Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz,800Mhz,6MB), with chipset Intel's GM965 / PM965 and BIOS Phenix vertion A06.
Can someone suggest where to find a compatible driver, or suggest me if is better to upgrade/downgrade to a new/old BIOS vertion, so to disable the RAID that seems to block the installation? In this case please send me the information where to find the new/old BIOS, and how to install it on the Dell...
Thanks for your assistence!

Hi chuckyh,
thanks for your reply but we already tested the file you suggested...it doesn't work...
To say the truth this software extract several drivers, but we tested one each time we was trying to perform the Windows 2000 installation.
Should we need to use more than one of these drivers, when we perform the installation?
Otherwise this is not our solution....
You may be out of luck.   Many newer laptops do not have drivers that work with older versions of windows, especially Windows 2000. You may be able to contact dell support and see what they say.

If I recall correctly , win2k support was dropped from the Intel storage drivers shortly after the 7.0 release of the Intel drivers (it might have been dropped by 7.0, but definitely no sooner).  Also, it looks llike you have an ICH8 chipset, which wouldn't be suppported by drivers with versions before 6.0.  Therefore, if you can get your hands on a driver with version anywhere from 6.0 through 7.0, these should work for you.  That said, if Intel doesn't have these on their download site, I'm not sure where the best place to look is, although you might try different HW manufacturer's websites or driver download sites.

We've found the solution...
A bit of lucky because the drivers was the same used by lenovo t61, already installed with windows 2000, but also pubblished on internet at this address:

The trick was to use NListe (thanks Punky) to include those drivers in the Windows 2000 CD, to avoid the "intel matrix storage manager" request during the installation.
Hope it will be usefull for others!
All the best and THANKS
