Active Directory Users and Computers
I'm reaching the end of my rope with MSFT system utilities. I have for over three years added and deleted users from out system. For the last 6 or 7 months every time I try to launce this app on my exchange server, it either never launches, launches and then hangs, or launches allows several changes then hangs. To make a simple change to a user's exchange parameters can take from 4 minutes to 5 hours! Anybody have any insight to how this fiasco was dropped on us.

Have tried several "downloads" from Redmond, and they are seemingly as useless as the built ins
so when you run AD users and computers from a workstation it crashes/hangs also?
I used to have a server that would do this if exchange system manager was open.
After I installed latest SP for exchange all went ok.
this does suggest some fundamental corruption or config error (no I wont recommend rebuilding your server!)
check you have all the appropriate admin shares, and that dns is functioning ok - delete any dodgy entries for pcs that no longer exist or have two ips associated.
