Overclocking My Pentium 4 HT 661 (Cedar Mill 3.6GH)
Hello Experts,
I'm interested in tinkering with my motherboard's overclocking capabilities, but don't want to do any damage.
My Intel chip is the Pentium 4 HT 661 (Cedar Mill 3.6GH), on an ASUS P5GDC-V Deluxe mobo, powered by a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad 750W EPS12V PSU, and have a ZALMAN CNPS9700 110mm HSF on its way.
Of course I have other things on my mobo, but I'm not sure what else would be relevant. Now... with all that I have listed above, how much (percentage) can I SAFELY (or semi-safely) overclock my CPU?
Thanks!

Hi, thanks. I use SpeedFan to monitor my temps, etc. As for my video card; PCI - Express x16 / ATi / 512MB-DDR2 / (forgot model number). I understand that monitoring temps would be the best way to determine this, but I figured there were results out there somewhere already. I'll give your link a look.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I dont know what video card you have but nvisa released the new Perfomance tool this allows you to overclock cpu video and even you mobo, if you overclock check the temp every time do little steps and let you pc run heavy things, i use Everst Home to check my temp but im sure intel have some aplication look at the site of them,
this is verry good for you, Good luck !
