Setup as Follows:
SQL 2005 SP2 (BUILD 3042) (64 bit)
8 CPUS
32 GIG OF RAM

Sharepoint is executing queries againt a database that is causing several spids to be in a "suspended" state, the waittype is cxpacket.  This is causing time out and poor performance.  There is no blocking that is happening in the database.

I ran the following query:
select * from sys.dm_os_wait_stats
ORDER BY WAIT_TIME_MS DESC

And it confirms that the wait_type of cxpacket is definitely an issue. wait_time_ms = 15248382718 for cxpacket...

Has anyone else had this issue?  the queries that are being issued are not just in a suspended state.
Can someone please provide some insight into this?
