User gets error downloading Global Address List
I have a user who's address book is WAY out of date. It doesn't even have me in it and I've been with the company for about 6 months now. He brought it to my attention when he asked why so many people that no longer worked here were still in the address book. So I went to Tools-Send and Recieve- Download Address book and he got the error in the screenshot. He has no problems sending or receiving emails. I checked his Mailbox Rights and he has Full Mailbox Access. That's about the extend of my Exchange knowledge. We are using Exchange 2003 SP2, Outlook 2003.
Thanks for any help.
EDIT * I checked his permissions again and I noticed something that I think may be wrong. When I said he had Full mailbox Access, his user name had that. I noticed there was no SELF listed in the permissions box. Should there be a SELF? I checked my account and my username wasn't listed, but SELF was.

No worries. Yes, I got your email, no problems there either - I am surprised that this sat here for 2 hours without a response.

Just for my knowledge then, what could cause this? I do see in his mailbox rights an unresolved account. (I think it's the SID you see?) could that be the SELF account and it got corrupted?
It is possible - I would be expecting that it is some kind of account corruption. It could have been created incorrectly, migrated incorrect, or could have developed it some other way

Sorry for taking so long to get back with you. He was too busy yesterday to try this. Looks like it worked. Just had one more question before I close this. While it did does appear to have worked, I don't think I waited long enough in step 5. Cause when I recreated his mailbox, and waited until the email address tab populated, when I went to import the PST file using exmerge, it showed his mailbox already at 1.5 Gig. If I run into this again and want to make sure the mailbox is gone, how can I achieve that? Do I go into system manager, navigate to Mailboxes in the Mailbox Store, right click and Run Cleanup Agent?
Thanks

Never mind on my last question. I found the answer in another post on EE.
