Need to remove system mailboxes on exchange 2003
I have migrated to 2007 Exchange and I am trying to remove 2003 Exchange from the old server and the domain. I have 5 SystemMailbox accounts all of which are listed under the First Storage Group in the old exchange, but show the new mail server... How does this work? I can't delete them or remove their exchange properties. I have attached a picture with the mailboxes and one other that is on the new server setup. How can I remove these so I can uninstall exchange 2003?

If they are system mailboxes they will be deleted when you remove Exchange 2003 if they're still on the 2003 server
as stated above they will be removed when you decommission the server, here is the technet on how to do this

I have tried to remove the exchange system already and it tells me there are mailboxes still. All the storage groups are gone, only public folders remain and I wiped the database then made a new blank one and still can't remove them. Any ideas there?

Another question, shouldn't one of these belong to my 2007 Exchange server??
those are already on the exchange 2007 system, they are just hidden in the gui, though i believe you can se e them via the exchange management shell

Ok, in those removals I go into ADSI edit and I can't find my Exchange2003 system. It has the 2007 system there. Do I need to run the removeorg command still? That one scares me a little as to how it will affect my 2007 install.
