I have a Unix command that produces output I want to pipe to a file in a Cron job.  When executed directly from the console, ie.   'command > fileoutput.txt', the command works great and fileoutput.txt has the desired information.  However, when this same command is put into a CRON job, the output is an empty file named fileoutput.txt

I'm pretty inexperienced in Unix and appreciate your help!

Thanks to Everyone who commented.  You were all onto my problem and I've split the points accordingly.  The command I was running was to launch a reporting tool that read a third schema file and used it to generate a report export.  I had to modify this third file to include full path names in order to get the CRON job working.  Thanks to everyone for your help!
