Postmaster@mydomainname Overload in Exchange SMTP Queue

Dear All,
I keep getting a queue full of Postmaster@mydomain emails on the SMTP connecter in Exchange 2003 running as part of my Small biz server.
We are suffering from a shed load of SPAM as well, since moving to a new ISP.
I have applied Sender Filtering, Intelligent Message Filter and Connection Filter all at the SMTP Virtual Server level.
Do you have any suggestions as to what else I can do?
Thanks
Miff

This seem to be an Antispam problem
The Antispam is cofigured to send an Email to the sender telling them that the Email has been blocked couse its a SPAM
you can do it by stoping this option in the antispam software
what is the Antispam software you have
its not recommend to block the postmaster Email sence its needed to generate NDR

Are these messages are inbound or outbound
are they reaching to your network
or being sent out to the internet ????????
they are all Outbound awaiting a retry to connect.
Normal Email traffic is working correctly.

Hi
Exchange wont send Emails from it self
you have a SPAM Problem from your network going out to the internet
I recommend you have an AntiSpam software like Trend Mail Scan or Surf Control
you can configure your exchange to reject messages from Postmaster@MyDomain.com
from the SMTP Connector --> Delivery Restriction -> add the postmaster to the Reject messages from
Is it safe to do that?
yes
It will block all the Emails that are sent from the Postmaster@domain.com

BUT This is not a Full Fix
You need to find WHY is the SPAM going out of your network ..
Try to track the message
Do you think that my Exchange server is being used to SPAM?

I am unsure how to track the message
:o(
First check this to see if your an open relay;

then use this to rectify;

Hi Adam,

I did the test and I am not a Relay
I also had all these settings set up correclty as per the "use this to rectify" link you supplied.

I really have made sure that all my settings are correct, is this something that I need to live with?
There are 29 messages waiting to go in the queues, is this an acceptable level?

Miff
Try to disable the Postmaster account and name it something else
the postmaster account is an the administrator account that have another SMTP Address named as Postmaster
Have something Important
Reset the password for the administrator
I cannot believe it but I somehow missed the Apply Recipient Filter checkbox in SMTP protocol.
Thanks for help, sorry for delay.
