Google Map performance problem
Hi,
I am using Google Map free version and having some issue in the loading of the map.
Does anyone ever had problem like this before? The map basically uses the properties database and shows the user the properties on the map using icons.
The time taken is unacceptable which is somewhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes.
Your help will be much appreciated.

- Could you detail your problem or provide a link to the page where the problem occurs?
- Are there specific questions or areas for which loading times are consistently larger?
- How many points are present in your database?
- You mention a database; do you use also XML?

Hi Fibo,
Here is the link http://www.aplaceinthesun.com/property-search/map
The problem is while loading the map it takes 10 seconds on the cable/broadband connections and from MAC it takes 2 minutes for the map to load.
THere is an a product which gets the points in the form of XML and uses setMarker() to plot it.
The number of properties can range from 10 to 3000 at a particular region.
Thanks

If you can try that (assuming the installed version does not conflict with it), it will help decide whether this is a system issue or a software issue ....
