I'm not sure what I've done wrong here. See the grey bit of that PNG? I want it to be dark grey (specifically HTML color code #212121) and I can't do it.

Hi I have PNG slice which is made up of transparent element and a light grey portion (See attached). I simply want to change the light grey portion to dark grey - secifically HTML color code #212121). <br />
Whenever I try to do this in GIMP, the fill colour goes black!!! I managed to do it using go old Microsoft paint but it changed my transparent bit to white.<br />

Any ideas?<br />

Cannot fill an area of a PNG using GIMP
