Does execution wait for a requery to complete?

I am working on a routine that requeries a form, then does some other processing assuming that the form's resultset is up to date. It worked on fine in one form (where there were very few entries in that form's query table), but did not work on another form where the query had a very large resultset.

This leads me to believe that when I run Me.Requery, the requery is done in a separate thread while execution continues, is this correct?

If so, then is there a way I can wait until that requery is finishd before going to the next statment? And if that isn't a possiblity, is there an event that fires when a requery is complete?
