Bluetooth Mouse loses connection when I open IE7

I have a Bluetooth Mouse and it works perfectly on Vista Business SP1 until I open IE7 then it stops working and the bluetooth component keeps switching on and off. Dell have replaced the part and it has the latest drivers and assure me it is not a hardware issue.

This is interesting.  Sounds like you have a driver issue... Something in IE7 is triggering the driver to act up.  Are you getting anything in the event log?
Is this a dell mouse?  If not do not use the driver from the dell website.  Use the driver from the manufacturer website.  I know dell supplies drivers with the mice they sell with their systems but if it is not a dell made mouse, sometimes dell gets behind on posting the latest update on their site.

I get the following entries in the Event Viewer when I start Internet Explorer..

EventID 18 - BTHUSB - Windows cannot store Bluetooth authentication codes (link keys) on the local adapter. Bluetooth keyboards might not work in the system BIOS during startup.

EventID 2 - HidBth - Bluetooth HID device (MAC ADDRESS) either went out of range or became unresponsive.

The Mouse is a Targus Bluetooth Laser Rechargable Mouse (AMB030), it didn't come with any drivers nor are there any on the Targus website.

The mouse works fine on my colleague's laptop which is identical to mine. As I previously posted, Dell sent me a new Bluetooth 350 Module which I have installed and I have used the only available driver from the Dell Website - which incidentally my colleague has installed on his machine.

Really frustrating.......
Also noticed these two new entries in the Event Log:

EventID 11 - BTHUSB - The remote adapter (MAC ADDRESS) was removed from the list of personal devices.

EventID 17 - BTHUSB - The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded.
Hmm... I wonder if uninstalling IE7 and reinstalling would help?  I would give that a shot and see if it fixes anything.
i thought about that, but i really dont want to lose all my settings (AutoComplete, Cookies etc...) as I have hundreds of stored usernames and passwords and as yet, i havent found a program that will back those up PROPERLEY. That's my last resort, but I really want to find a solution to why it is happening.

Thanks
