Just want to get some advice and thoughts. I have noticed that our Apache server is outputting a lot of information about itself in the http response Server header.  I read that it is a good security measure to output as little information as possible about the server. Hence, "security through obscurity," right?  Some say it is a good idea, while others say it is a meaningless attempt at security, while even the Apache web site says it is "intrinsically a bad idea." (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/misc/FAQ.html#serverheader)

Your thoughts please.
