sending reported error 0x80040201 after switching to pop account

Im getting "sending reported error 0x80040201 " after switching to pop account from being on exchange.  This only has to do with my own domain users.  Seems its cached the old exchange addresses and wont send them out through the pop.  Can anyone tell me how to get it to send out?  I have the auto complete on for addresses and think this might be some of the problem. Im using Outlook 2007

Its not the auto complete...i type out the complete address and it still wants to default to the old exchange settings for that user/address.  How do i clear these out?????
