DVD drive not working error code 19
My Dvd drive has stopped working. It is a read only drive. Samsung SD-616T. I get error message 19 "Your registry might be corrupted". I am not sure when it happened, I have downloaded Realplayer and Quicktime recently. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device. I can't go back to a previous registry setting because system restore was turned off. It is now on turned on. I have seen repairs that require a registry edit. I went to the suggested key HKLM \ system \ currentcontrolset \ control \ class \ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-0 8002BE1031 8} and saw the lower filter listed. A copy of the registry is shown under "code snippet". I believe that deleting this value will effect the repair. I would like confirmation of this. I would like a step by step instructions on how to do this. How to back up the registry. How to delete the value. I have not done a regedit before. Thank you for your help.
