Slow Lan with Hyper-v One Nic Installed

Without Hyper-v installed the Lan works fine, When I install Hyper-v with one Nic card the lan is slow.
When someone opens an excel file (Could be other file types, This was the only one that was very noticeable) on the server 2008 share it starts to load and then hangs for a few seconds. Without Hyper-V install it is opens fast.
I have upgraded the Intel Nic Drivers with no help in improvement.
I ran a Wireshark Trace and on the SMB Statistics I have Index 160 NT Trans MAX Srt of 18.17322 Ave Srt of 2.04042 and Index 50 Trans2 Max Srt of 8.33553 and Ave of .02473
Index 4 NT Notify Max Srt of 18.17322 Ave of 3.12841
I think I need to use two Nics and do have a dual Intel Nic card installed. I do have a static IP for the Main Nic and Will use one for the Second Nic. How would I set up the DNS entries for each Nic without pointing to the same Computer Name?. I think this would cause resolution problems. I also read that having two nics on the same segment is a bad idea. ie.192.168.100.5 and 192.168.100.6. I also read somewhere that Microsoft recommends a two Nic installation for Hyper-V and I cant figure out how to do it.
What got me on this track is when I looked at the interfaces in Wireshark there was two displayed. One for the Intel and One for Microsoft. I figured out that the Microsoft one was the Virtual Switch. and figured that this was causing my problem. Uninstalled Hyper-V and the Microsoft driver vanished and everything worked fine.
Am I on the right track?

Thanks,
Mike
