Database Backup failed
Hi mates,
I work in netbackup team, one database backup policy fails, under bpdbsbora log, I can see error :
RMAN-00571: ========================== ========== ========== ========== ===
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ========================== ========== ========== ========== ===
ORA-01220: file based sort illegal before database is open
Backup policy type is ORACLE
Failed Status : 6 ( the backup failed to backup the requested files)
Client :
SUNW,Sun-Fire-V890
Please advise, what I should ask DBA to look in , so he can resolve ISSUE or is there anything I need to do from Netbackup. Pleas advice

Are these only two parameters need to be increased only to correct error and If so where we can find these query.
Action:
Re-phrase the query to avoid a large sort, increase the values of the SORT_AREA_SIZE and/or SORT_AREA_RETAINED_SIZE initialization parameters to enable the sort to be done in memory.
