User not showing in address book

Hi

One of our users does not show up in the company's Global Address Book - i.e. you type their name in the "To" box in Outlook and their name does not appear.

We are running Exchange 2007 SP1 on a 2003 domain.  I have checked their AD profile and they are a member of "Domain Users".  I have compared to other users who do show up in GAB and see no obivous differences.

Any ideas?

If you are using Exchange Cached Mode in Outlook, you will not see the user if the OAB is not updates. Try to update the Offline Address Book.

You can also try taking the Cached Mode off, you should be able to see the user..

Paul
same problem, but mine is not checked, hte "hide user from exchange address list" checkbox.  I also just updated the GAL on his local PC, but it's still not showing up, any other ideas?
If the user is using Cached Exchange Mode. try to update the Offline Address Book.
If you remove the Cached Exchange Mode. The user should be available in the GAL immediately
I alraeady updated the offline Address Book, that didnt' work. The problem is that he's actually not in the GAL.  How do I add him there?  Where do I go to remove the "cached exchange mode"?
Thanks.
Please raise a seperate question with all the details such as OS, which version of Exchange and Outlook in the Exchange zone. I will help you resolve it
I opened a new question in hte software zone, as I didn't find an exchange zone.
The ID is: 23642710

Can you still help me look into it.  Actually, the name appears in OWA, just not in Outlook.
Thanks. Dan
