The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'xxx@gmail.com'. Subject 'Re: from websoluton', Account: 'mail.websolution4u.co.uk', Server: 'mail.xxx.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <xxx@gmail.com>... Relaying denied. Proper authentication required.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

umm ok..

i dont know what 'VPs Server' is ?

with any mail application or even client, the outbound SMTP server MUST = Your Connected ISP's SMTP Server, unless you explicitly allow relaying through your sendmail server (not recommended)

with your sendmail server however, it sounds to me like you've installed too much security to authenticate but havent set it up correctly.. you must setup sendmail to trust your internal IP's though so that they can send through it..

so for example setup your access_db with
10.0.0                  RELAY <if your internal IP range is 10.0.0 or replace it with yours>

makemap hash access_db < access_db

and in your .mc file make sure you've got something like..

FEATURE(`access_db', `hash -T<TMPF> /etc/mail/access_db')dnl

in it.. then M4 it reload your sendmail, and try again.. watch your logs too..

becuase if i do telnet 25

its show 250 Auth Plain

is this secure ??
Top Expert 2008

Commented:
well you could use secure authentication using tls that would need more config..but this way your server is secure in terms of relay..i.e. no spammers can use it to just start sending spam

I.e. you server is secure now.. but if you use tls noone can steal your passwords
