I am working on a VB.NET dll (VS 2008) and have changed the Assembly version and file version from 1.0.1.0 to 1.0.2.0. After I compile it when I right click properties in the windows explorer it reports <br />
Assembly version 1.0.1.0<br />
File version 1.0.2.0<br />
Product Version 1.0.2.0<br />

Why is the assembly version not updated correctly?<br />

I have checked the assemblyinfo file and this contains:<br />
&lt;Assembly: AssemblyVersion(&quot;1.0.2.0&quot;)<wbr />&gt; <br />
&lt;Assembly: AssemblyFileVersion(&quot;1.0.2<wbr />.0&quot;)&gt; <br />
