I was wondering if there is anyone willing to share some information regarding IS Plan

I have been tasked with creating an overall IT plan for the company. While I know this is a very SPECIFIC question, I am looking for something to just look to for guidance.

Does anyone have any type of IS Plan they would be willing to share?

Actually, that's a pretty general question. :-) What kind of information are you looking for in your planning? Honestly, either I'm completely oblivious to the obvious, or you've just asked something along the lines of "What kind of transportation mode should I use?" :-D

I have looked at some IT plans (mainly public education) which talks about where we are today, what we plan on doing and what areas we are focusing on. While I know someone can't give me those answeres, I was wondering if anyone else has completed a IT 2 Year Plan and would be willing to share.

For example I have seen a IT Plan for the Cleveland Public Library, Cleveland, OH that talks about the current state of the computers, how users will access the data, what type of hardware they currently use and then it goes further to discuss what will be modified over the next year and what other services will be provided.

I guess what I was maybe looking for is a template on how to gather this data. I SUCK at putting together papers like this ;)
